Welcome to the RRPictureArchives.NET contributor site of Floyd Gordon.
I am a retired Wildlife Biologist living in the SW Idaho, Eastern Oregon area along the Snake River. This region is served by Union Pacific and short lines such as Idaho, Northern and Pacific and Oregon Eastern. Since about 2004 my photos have been taken with a Kodak EasyShare DX4530 Digital Camera. As of the end of December 2008 I now use a Nikon D60 Digital Camera. The photos reflect the kinds of business and rail traffic observed.
Many of the rail cars (i.e. reefers) have been tagged. I do not approve of, condone or promote this practice but, take photos to document car locations.
One of my prime goals is to become a better photographer. A slow process, no doublt. A key focus is individual shots of railcars and SD40-2's as they work the area.
