Description: |
UP 2813 brings up the rear of a five unit lashup that has just brought the heavy stacktrain up from the Snake River crossing at the Idaho, Oregon border. The train has left the canyon and is proceeding to Huntington in the background and points west. The mainline curves to the right around the UP Huntington Yard. Lime, Oregon is about five miles ahead just out of sight to the right of photo. From there it is a stiff climb to Baker City. |

EMDX 2822 EX PRR |
Description: |
EMDX 2822 is identified as a SD40T-2 on cab side. This appears to be incorrect. See comment below. Unit has been turned 180 degrees since last being in Ontario OR 7/7/2006. Unit was originally a PRR, PC and then CR. To my understanding it was never an Union Pacific owned unit. |
