E. T. = Edgar Thompson Steel Works, Braddock, Pennsylvania. First steel mill built by Carnegie. Became part of Carnegie Steel Co. in 1892 apparently after this rail was rolled. lll = March. Rail is suspected to be 70 LBS. as adjacent rail is marked as such.
